Special Groups Driver Training
~21 hours (14h theory + 7h practice)
Training for safe and professional transportation of customers requiring special attention. Qualifies for Kela, SHL, and municipal transport services.
Training that helps taxi drivers learn to:
- Identify different special needs and individual requirements
- Safely assist passengers with mobility impairments
- Act responsibly in school and daycare transportation
- Understand requirements of different transport services (e.g., Kela, social and health authorities)
Course content
Theory section (~14h)
- • Meeting and serving customers
- • Assisting customers with mobility and functional impairments
- • Safety training and equipment use
- • School and daycare transportation and related special issues
Practical section (~7h)
- • Assistance techniques and device use
- • Situational skills in various customer encounters
- • Practical exercises for ensuring safe transportation
After successful completion, you will receive a special groups driver training certificate and registration in the Traficom system. This entitles you to drive Kela transports, municipal/wellbeing region transports, and SHL transports.
